Optometrist Admin Laboratory Admin Accounts Laboratory The practice was established in Standerton in 1952 by optometrist Derek Humphriss. In 1954 Gerald Lawrence entered into partnership with Derek Humphriss and eventually became the sole owner of the practice in 1965. Derek’s son, Mark qualified in 1987 and took over the practice. Initially, Mark practiced as an optometrist for 12 years but due to his rugby obligations, he stopped practicing in 1999.
